The St Albans Irish Club Darts Team

The Irish Club has had a darts team play out of the club for over 30 years. Playing in the St Albans Darts Association league they have brought several trophies back to the club recently which are proudly on display in the members bar.

One of the greatest teams to play for the club was in the 2019-21 season when captain Devon Spelman-Glasford and his team of Jamie Freeman, Kevin Rowland, Paul Rowland, Shane McHale, James Newton and Dan James did the Division Two and Challenge Cup double.

Their B team would consolidate that success with a Trophy win in 2021-22, so we have to give special mentions to captain Damian McGovern and his team of Grant Lawrie, Terry Wilson, Tom Higham, Dan James, James Newton and Andy McArthur also. 

There is a great team spirit amongst the lads and they can often be seen propping up the bar with a few pints of Guinness in the club every other Thursday.
