Kathleen Murray Academy of Irish Dance was established in 1994. It is an irish dance school that has operated from the club for many years.
Kathleen is the principal teacher in the school and teaches kids irish dance lessons to children from age 4 in St Albans and London Colney. We are proud to host some of her lessons and performances in our club. She has over 25 years experience in teaching children. The key objectives in the school are for dancers to learn the basics of Irish Dancing and to improve and perfect all techniques associated with the art form including their fitness levels, confidence and self discipline.
The school has a strong emphasis on teamwork and a friendly approach. Each child is encouraged to reach their full potential in a safe environment. Many dancers participate in competitions throughout the UK and Ireland. They are also encouraged to take part in displays in the local community. Kathleen is fully insured and CRB checked. Kathleen Murray is a great place for Irish Dancing St Albans.
